Empowering Your Workforce: On-Site Individual Benefit Solutions for Small Businesses

For small businesses that don't offer employer-sponsored group benefits, attracting and retaining talent can be a challenge. At Ballinger Benefit Services, we bridge this gap by providing a unique On-Site Individual Benefit Solutions program, bringing expert guidance directly to your employees. This service demonstrates your commitment to their well-being, even without a formal group plan, and helps your team access the vital coverage they need.

Our On-Site Approach:

We understand that navigating individual insurance options can be confusing. That's why our dedicated benefit specialists come directly to your workplace during key enrollment periods, making it convenient and accessible for your employees to get personalized assistance.

What We Provide for Your Employees (and Your Business):

Our knowledgeable team will meet with your employees (either individually, or in a group session if requested and paid for) to demystify complex insurance choices and empower them to make informed decisions for themselves and their families. We offer comprehensive support for:

  • Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace Enrollment:

    • Personalized Guidance: We explain how the ACA Marketplace works, including eligibility for subsidies (Premium Tax Credits and Cost-Sharing Reductions) that can significantly lower monthly premiums.

    • Plan Selection: We help employees compare various health plans, understand deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket maximums, and select a plan that best fits their healthcare needs and budget.

    • Application Assistance: Our specialists provide step-by-step help with the online application process during the annual Open Enrollment Period (typically November 1 - January 15*), ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

  • Voluntary and Supplemental Benefits:

    • We educate employees on the value of a wide array of individual benefits that can complement their health coverage or provide essential protection:

      • Dental Insurance: For routine check-ups and major dental work.

      • Vision Insurance: Covering eye exams, glasses, and contacts.

      • Life Insurance: Providing financial security for loved ones.

      • Accident Insurance: Offering a cash benefit for unexpected injuries.

      • Critical Illness Insurance: Providing a lump sum payment upon diagnosis of a covered illness.

    • We help employees understand how these plans work, their costs, and how they can fill gaps in their overall protection.

  • Medicare Navigation:

    • For employees nearing or already eligible for Medicare, we offer clear explanations of Medicare Parts A, B, C (Medicare Advantage), and D (Prescription Drug Plans). We assist them in understanding their options and making a smooth transition to Medicare coverage.

Minimum Participation & Fees:

To ensure an impactful and efficient on-site visit, we require that at least 10 employees have pre-registered for individual, one-on-one consultation slots to speak with our consultants.

  • For Businesses Meeting the Minimum: If your business meets the 10-employee pre-registration requirement for individual consultations, there is no direct fee to the employer for our on-site presence and individual employee consultations. Employees enroll in and pay for their chosen individual plans.

  • For Group Overview Meetings: Employers who wish for a general group meeting to discuss ACA options or other benefits, regardless of individual consultation sign-ups, will incur a fee for our on-site presentation and time.

  • For Businesses Not Meeting the Minimum: If your business does not meet the minimum requirement of 10 pre-registered employees for individual consultations, an on-site visit for individual consultations will be subject to a flat fee to cover our operational costs.

*Clarification on ACA Open Enrollment Period: While the general period is Nov 1 - Jan 15, some states have different dates.

Benefits for Your Small Business:

Even without offering employer-sponsored plans, providing this service delivers significant value:

  • Boost Employee Morale & Retention: Showing a proactive interest in your employees' well-being fosters loyalty and helps retain valuable team members.

  • Enhanced Employer Brand: Position your business as a caring and supportive employer, which can attract new talent.

  • Convenience & Expertise: Our on-site presence during a crucial time (ACA Open Enrollment) saves your employees time and provides them with professional guidance they might not otherwise access.

  • No Cost to Your Business (or Flexible Fee Structure): This service can be offered at no direct cost to the employer, with employees enrolling in and paying for their chosen individual plans. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can discuss a small per-employee fee for our on-site presence.

  • Focus on Your Core Business: Let Ballinger Benefit Services handle the complexities of individual benefits, allowing you to concentrate on running and growing your company.
